Because I honestly didn't catch on to the whole Helen Reddy thing (if it's in fact intentional) until I had to describe the act of Dawn (literally) roaring. Then the whole "woman/roar" cliche from the 70s popped into my head. Then I googled the lyrics to the song. And suddenly, this whole extra layer to the story opened up for me, which was awesome.
