I know y’all are probably chomping at the frakking bit to talk about what happened on this week’s episode of Battlestar Galactica, so I’ll just say a few things and let you get to it.
Lee has embraced his role as junior member of the Quorum, casting his lot — for better or worse — with VP Tom Zarek, exposing some of the more dictatorial aspects of Roslin’s regime. Of course, Zarek tends to have his own nefarious agenda, and it remains to be seen if Lee is playing right into his hands. Continue reading
Okay, let’s start with the title of this week’s episode of Battlestar Galactica, because I think it pretty much sets the tone. I’m just going to go with the most obvious interpretation, that it refers to the idiom, “six of one, half-dozen of the other” — a phrase used to describe a situation in which either of two alternatives is equally valid. Hey, did anybody notice that Battlestar Galactica is back on? I just happened to be flipping channels Friday night and ran across it. Funny how they didn’t bother to hype the new season at all. But SERIOUSLY, folks … the final season is finally upon us, complete with new opening credits: “Twelve Cylon Models. Seven are known. Four live in secret. One will be revealed.” Continue reading
